Bridges & Arches of Central Park (GC17MX1), Multi by addisonbr – Found it! 14th October 2015
The most epic multi I have ever done and well worth doing, not least of all because the owner leaves coins for finders in the cache! It took us quite a few hours but we saw parts of the park I had never seen. Read the full story of our adventure here.
An Gorta Mor (GC1PQRA), Unknown by ElToro76 – Found it! 12th October 2015
A cache with an Irish connection in New York! I really liked this one. It’s a simple field puzzle (well simple if you have even a little knowledge of the Irish language), and it’s located at the Irish Famine Memorial beside the Hudson River. The memorial contains a ruined cottage transported from County Mayo on Ireland’s West Coast and brought to NYC for the installation. Well worth seeing!
Lakeside View (GCM90X), Traditional by SilverMarc – Found it! 14th October 2013
This was a busy spot and I felt very inconspicuous as I hadn’t been caching very long. I was able to sit down and enjoy the lakeside view while reaching in for the cache. I’m pretty sure I was spied by some other cachers but they didn’t approach me, and since I had never met any geocachers in the field before (or at all as this was before my first event), I didn’t approach them either.
Twitter Cache (GC1QFGR) Traditional by addisonbr – Found it! 18th October 2013
This is the first cache I did with my muggle sister and it was a good one for that! A clever container well hidden. And to top it off, the CO chooses some of the found it logs and tweets them via an account that is mentioned in the cache description. Mine didn’t get chosen but I think this is a great idea!
