On 30th August at 9:59am, we welcomed our daughter Emer in to the world. Nineteen days later, we are still getting to know each other and finding our way as a family of three. While we haven’t managed to make it to a geocaching event yet – we’re still working our time management – we did make time to take a little walk around a multi-cache that I own in our local neighbourhood.
Queen’s Quarter
We moved to the Queen’s Quarter area of Belfast in April 2016, a beautiful part of the city that we quickly fell in love with and made our home. Just over two years later, we brought our daughter to her first home here so it was only right that her first geocaching experience was a tour around the seven waypoints in my multi-cache.
She may be too small to understand right now but I am already excited to go treasure-hunting with my girl. Fingers crossed she is enthusiastic about geocaching and doesn’t choose the muggle life, like her dad!
I’ll be back to regularly blogging soon, but right now, I am taking the time to enjoy our little family and planning some mummy-daughter geo-adventures really soon.
Happy Caching!

There was a 5 day old at a CITO yesterday!
Welcome to the world, little one.
And congratulations to all the new family.
Congratulations on your geobaby! #startemyoung
Congratulations!
Congratulations to you and welcome Emer to this world of wonders!
Congratulations! It took me about 2 months to figure out how to go geocaching with my daughter! She’s been on the trails with me ever since! The progression of backpacks is going to be fun…and don’t underestimate a good stroller “whacking” adventure! Good luck to you!
Congrats on the birth of your daughter! Looking forward to posts about your caching adventures with Emer.
