Hi @Road_Rider, That's terrible that your Eko Motion Sensor Trash Can basically stopped working only after a few months.
But there's nothing really to lock, per se.… Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. Failed to get answers. EKO North America. Regularly $49.99 @ Costco and sells for over twice as much on Amazon. Failed to get answers. It was a really nice looking bin though. However, if troubleshooting all of the above doesn't work, then yes, the lid would be replaced so long as it wasn't mistreated, dropped, or damaged--the usual warranty caveats.
