I did not. I just saw the film "Trust" where a teenaged girl named Annie gets tricked online by a 35 yr old pedophile who eventually rapes her, which causes her family to fall apart.
I enjoyed the entire movie from beginning to end. I like movies that turn away form the expectation that is built up, it is how real life is most of the times. Anyway the point is I liked it the first time I watched it, but I LOVED it the second time. 4 out of 4 found this helpful.
I don't know why the idea of Nicholas Cage and Elijah Wood starring in a crime thriller together is funny to me, but it is. So don't let you initial reaction of it being different stop you from appreciating it. I loved, it was sooo funny. 11 out of 15 found this helpful.

I guess it's more like a dark comedy/thriller/drama. This is my first review, because the film started good and then there was this horrible ending! Despite this film getting below average reviews I still dived in and watched it, and I wasn't disappointed, this film managed to exceed the low expectations I went in with.
Surprisingly slick and thoroughly bumbling.
They also play the opposite parts to what I expected of them so it made for an unpredictable watch which I really liked. The ending certainly leaves you without the expected gratification of a usual caper movie but that's what makes it good. other than a shitty boss? It's fair to say that 'The Trust' is a good entry in Nicolas Cage's volatile filmography.
It puts you on the wrong leg (as we say in Netherlands). I was thinking "wow, haven't seen a good movie with Nicholas Cage in a very long time". Not only is it a major problem that this isn’t made clear right from the start, but Wood keeps it pretty consistent as David, selling him as the more grounded and likable of the two, but Cage is all over the place as Jim, for better or worse. It has been a very long time since Nicolas Cage has done a good movie. He is an amazing actor who isn't afraid to push limits, think outside the box, or put everything into a role. I enjoyed this film. I was surprised in a pleasant way. Aside from that the soundtrack is very good. It was refreshingly different to a lot of movies. One moment, it seems as though their colleagues don’t respect them, but the next, they’re doing favors for them. This movie is about trust and it makes you think in the end if you trusted the right party all along. And the same goes for their status at the LVPD. Was this review helpful? Everyone has their own reaction, but I think this movie delivers a lot more than the average crime film and it's all because of the way it ends.

Paired together, which I ain't mad, but was totally shocked, and thoroughly pleased, then you will love this "inept cop buddy film." I don't know why people are complaining so much about the ending of this movie. Then, Cage has been on a dry run for the past few years. It certainly doesn't deserve all the terrible reviews and ratings it has received.
